The Polar S625x heart rate monitor is a combined heart rate monitor and running or cycling speed and distance device. The Polar S-1 foot pod computes speed and distance information for either the Polar S625x or Polar S725x. The Polar S-1 Foot Pod uses a highly accurate accelerometer to measure 360 degree, 3-D, forces of inertia (speed, magnitude, impact, direction etc). These sensitive accelerometers then translate foot movement in to real time speed and distance which is displayed on the Polar S625 heart rate monitor. ( included with purchase )
